Mechanical Engineer

For over 60 years Edwards Engineering products have been produced in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. We are currently seeking a talented mechanical engineer who will take ownership of projects and see them through from concept to completion. The job description includes:

1. Refrigeration system design
   • System calculations
   • Component selection and application
   • Electrical controls/sequence of operation
   • Bill of materials creation and management
2. Physical layout of product structure, components, piping (3D Drafting)
3. Electrical and piping systems (2D Drafting)
4. Project organization and management

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Some experience or training in 3-D solid modeling software
  (Autodesk Inventor preferred, Solidworks or Pro/Engineer acceptable)
• Some knowledge of drafting standards and AutoCAD software
• Knowledge of refrigeration/HVAC systems preferred but not required
• Good time management and organization skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with all levels of company personnel, including factory workers, drafters, salespeople, and upper management
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
